Groms Scooter Coaching

Levels 1-3 | Ages approx. 6-10

Our Groms program is the ideal starting point for young riders learning to ride skateparks safely, confidently and with style.

Instead of fixed terms, coaching is split into Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3, allowing riders to join at the right stage for their ability and progress naturally throughout the year.

Level 1 - Beginner Foundations

Perfect for first-time park riders or those building confidence.

  • Skatepark safety and etiquette
  • Pumping for speed without pushing
  • Small drops and roll-ins
  • Balance and flow through bowls and snake runs
  • Basic tricks such as hops and one-footers
  • Foundations for whips and barspins
Level 2 - Beginner Progression

For riders ready to start learning tricks and linking lines.

  • First 180s on flat and small transitions
  • Introduction to tailwhip technique
  • Improved pumping and flow
  • Hip transfers and park line choice
  • Resi confidence and safe bail practice
Level 3 - Confident Beginners

For riders ready to build consistency and confidence.

  • Cleaner tailwhips and higher 180s
  • Intro to barspins
  • Manuals and fakies
  • Linking tricks into small lines
  • Transfers across hips and mini-spines
  • Mock runs to prepare for progression

The Groms Pathway

Level 1 → Level 2 → Level 3

Riders may join at any level based on ability. Coaches support progression throughout the term.
